As you may or may not have noticed I just cleaned out some old stuff from my gallery, I was just getting rid of things that I forgot to clearly mark as photo paint-overs, a matter that needed to be instantly corrected, some I just re-marked in bold with PHOTO PAINTOVER to insure that it was obvious that those were beyond just reference. Nobody should be offended if the old stuff I've done for them is gone now was just something that didn't need to be in my gallery, simple as that. I hope everyone is having a wonderful time and once I finish with the comissiony thing I'm trying to get myself started on I'm debating about holding a contest for a free pic! The determining factor would really be amount of entries etc that would enter.


Potential contest details:
Despite me being horrible at fairly proportional work I'm even worse at exaggeration and cartooning and thus I'm looking mainly for ideas. As someone who is completely over involved with gals belching I can never find enough ways to push it and make it more evident, if this contest came to fruition the things I'd be looking for would be:

1:Strong supporting line of action, if you're working digitally PLEASE save this as another doccument/ layer as I might as for it. Can be either full body, head only, etc, as long as its evident.

2:hyper detailed mouth posing, preferably from 3/4 view, but frontal, profile etc are also acceptable.

3:reaction of the belcher to the belch, details are a plus, whether it be on mouth posing, brow line etc everything that can be done to accentuate the action.

4:Gaseous overly done effect for the belch itself.

5 (brownie points): Another character's reaction of either disgust or fear pushed to as much of an extreme as you can get it.

Potential piece requirements:
Female belching either lines, colored lines, or non lined yet colored piece, humanoid *lines of action etc from non humanoids are of no use to my learningnessness.* at least one character obviously, but for each extra and their reactions to it thats extra brownie points. The goal of the piece is to over-exemplify that the belch is immense, overtly foul, and a key action.

Potential entrant placement and prizes:
I was thinking the best way to go about it would be to have a point system to find out ranking.

25 points the level of usability of what I learn/gain from your piece: This contest if it comes to fruition on top of a chance to give people free art is so I can absorb ideas that can potentially make my work in that field better. If this teaches me a lot then it will get the full 15. (determined by me)

5 points for each of the numbered objectives listed above for a total potential of 30 points (5 the brownie point double has 10 points instead of 5), ranges slightly depending on level of execution in that area . (pretty much determined by me, but I'm fully open to people debating the point or making suggestions.)

25 points level of general artistic skill, this is a fairly subjective thing, but not one I'll argue on. If something uber pretty like a 4ofswords quality piece its going to get more points than someone who turns in work thats my quality level, it would be unfair for me to do it any other way. (Determined by me, I won't argue this, if I think its good then great, if not then thats just my artistic opinion and there is no need to fret over it)

20 points Viewers vote! This isn't just a chance to win a piece of art or whatever from me this is also a chance to expose your artistic style to new people! I would make a journal where people can say how many points out of 20 they would give each piece, then just average out all viewer votes for each person and thats the number for their viewer vote ! If I do hold this contest I encourage people to be as honest as possible here as opposed to just pimping up friends. (Determined by yall!)


Thats for a total of 100 points, as opposed to holding a first place, second place, third place kind of thing I was thinking that just giving people rewards based on how many points they earned would be a cooler more community building, less community dividing thing! such a prize tiering as:

0-30=Sean tier. Nothing other than my happy thank you that you entered the contest!

31-60= mid tier, you worked hard and got some cool work done, on top of me page pimping you for your awesomeness of participating also a free hour-2 hour sketch for ya!

61-90= Chun and Yun 3S Tier, you came, you saw, you kicked artistic ass and on top of page pimping, OC session with you if you want it, and other funness, you also get either a fully completed piece by me of this general quality level (hopefully a little higher thanks to improvement)

91-100=Gouki in ST tier, your work is drool worthily pretty to the point that it rivals work like this [link] what you did was incredibly helpful to my learning experience, everyone else agreed that your work pwnd, you didn't get less than next to top marks in anything, you are some awesomeness incarnate. If anyone actually mannages to actually magically achieve this level of wow they can request whatever they want up to 80 hours of work whether that be making a 3d model for them, drawing them pictures, doing grunt work like UV mapping, pretty much anything you want that doesn't involve seriously breaking the law gets done XD. Chances this rank is achieved is slim to none though.


So would anyone participate if I did throw this said contest? Please comment on things that would make it more enticing or fair or anything else, I'm perfectly open to hearing all your suggestions! Thank you very much in advance
